Discover a reliable partner for sports, training, and safe play – KATSUDO Original training tatami mat is a professional tatami floor used not only by athletes in dojos, karate, or boxing, but also in schools, children’s and rehabilitation centers. Thanks to the practical tatami puzzle system, the mats are easy to assemble, adapt to the space, and provide a safe, hygienic, and visually organized surface.
Who are the mats suitable for:
🥋 Training spaces for karate, judo, aikido, taekwondo, boxing
Tatami floors are an integral part of martial arts. They are used as a shock-absorbing surface in dojos, gyms, or sports halls. In judo and aikido, they soften falls and rolls; in taekwondo or karate, they provide a safe surface for kicks, stances, and quick movements. Their color separation allows competition zones and boundaries to be created directly according to federation rules.
🏋️ Sports clubs, gyms, and home gyms
In clubs, tatami mats serve as durable, easy-to-maintain, and flexible flooring for various activities – from fitness training and cross-training to stretching or yoga zones. At home, you can create a temporary training corner that can be easily dismantled and stored after exercise. They ensure stability underfoot and protect the floor from damage.
🏫 Schools, kindergartens, and children’s playrooms
In educational facilities, tatami mats are used as safe surfaces for games, movement activities, and relaxation. In kindergartens, teachers use them to create play zones where children can tumble, build, or read without injury risk. In schools, they serve as temporary gym flooring, underlay for equipment, or quiet zones for rest. The tatami puzzle system allows quick setup and storage.
🧘 Play, therapeutic, and relaxation zones
In therapy centers, sensory stimulation rooms, or rehabilitation facilities, tatami mats are used as soft and hygienic flooring for various activities – from client positioning and fine motor games to physiotherapy exercises. They are also used in meditation or relaxation rooms as a pleasant insulating layer. In play areas or festivals, they provide mobile “soft flooring” for both children and adults.
